ASSISTANT MANAGER
Caravan park and camping ground assistant managers may perform the following tasks:
- assist manager/s including business management, financial management, staff supervision and development, office systems and the provision of services
- receive bookings and reservations
- talk to customers and tourists
- develop and put into place operational plans for the park
- ground maintenance
- housekeeping
- manage the legal compliance aspects of the business, risk management and occupational health and safety issues
- conduct marketing and promotional activities for the park and local area
- talk to local tourism authorities
- undertake regular repair, maintenance and up-grading work
Work Conditions
Caravan park and camping ground assistant managers usually work shifts so they may be required to work on weekends or public holidays and long shifts during busy periods. Some of the work is outdoors and the work must be done in all kinds of weather. They are usually required to live at the caravan park.
