The Australian Caravan Park Training School

The fully accredited Australian Caravan Park Training School, based at BIG4 North Star Holiday Resort Hastings Point Northern New South Wales, conducts regular one & two week orientation training programs for prospective caravan and holiday park owners/managers and staff, at one of Australia`s premier holiday resorts.

This orientation program is accredited by Vocational Education Training Accreditation Board (VETAB), and covers five days of intensive training which includes segments of "hands on" experience to give you an excellent introduction to the operation of caravan parks. The optional second week includes substantial segments of practical caravan park involvement.

Components of the Caravan Industry Training Package

The training package consists of the following three components:

Competency Standards

The units of competency define the range of knowledge and skills that employees need within the caravan industry, and set out the level of performance required and the means for measuring that performance

Assessment Guidelines

The Assessment Guidelines is the policy document which describes the caravan industry's system for assessment against the Competency Standards.

Qualifications

The qualifications outline how the competency standards are 'packaged' into qualifications aligned to the Australian Qualifications Framework.

The Caravan Industry Training Package contains 15 nationally recognised qualifications:

Certificate II in Caravan Park Operations

Certificate III in Caravan Park Operations

Certificate IV in Caravan Park Supervision

Diploma of Caravan Park Management
